Send a thank-you message within 24 hours

Almost no candidate in India does this — which means doing it immediately sets you apart. Keep it short: "Hi [Name], thank you for the conversation today. Our discussion about [specific topic from the interview] was particularly interesting and has made me even more excited about the opportunity. I look forward to hearing from you." Send via LinkedIn or email, not WhatsApp unless the interviewer specifically uses it.
