After Interview
Tip #11 of 15
Follow up once — not ten times
If they said "we will get back to you in a week" and a week passes with no response, one follow-up is completely appropriate. Write: "Hi [Name], I wanted to follow up on our interview last [date]. I remain very interested in the role and would love to know if there are any updates." Then wait. Multiple follow-ups within days come across as desperate and pushy. If there is genuinely no response after two follow-ups a week apart, the answer is most likely no.
💡 Reality Check
Persistence and harassment look identical from the hiring side. One is professional. The other costs you future opportunities.
