During Interview Tip #08 of 15

Do not lie about your notice period or current CTC

It is extremely common for candidates to inflate their current salary or shorten their notice period to seem more attractive. This almost always backfires. Companies verify salary with offer letters and payslips. Notice periods come up during joining. When a lie surfaces — even a small one — the offer gets revoked or trust is permanently damaged. Be honest. If your CTC is lower, explain why: "I joined at a lower band but have taken on senior responsibilities — the market rate for my role is X."
💡 Reality Check

One found lie ends the conversation completely. One honest answer never does.
