Ask smart questions — not just "What is the growth path here?"

When they say "Do you have any questions for us?" saying "No, I think you covered everything" is a red flag. So is the generic growth path question every candidate asks. Questions that actually impress: "What does success look like in the first 90 days in this role?", "What is the biggest challenge the team is currently facing?", "What do people who thrive here have in common?" These show genuine curiosity and strategic thinking.
